Aim and Scope
Drug Discovery and Development (DDD) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research addressing interdisciplinary aspects of drug discovery, design, and development into effective dosage forms and advanced delivery systems. The journal aims to disseminate innovative scientific knowledge that advances pharmaceutical and biomedical research and supports translational applications.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, original research articles, review articles, short communications, and letters to the editor reporting novel findings that significantly contribute to the current state of knowledge in the following areas:
- Rational and structure-based drug design.
- Novel drug delivery systems.
- Targeted and controlled drug delivery for various diseases.
- Recent advances and trends in QSAR and computational drug design.
- Natural products and their development as effective drug products, dosage forms, or delivery systems.
- Modulation and optimization of biopharmaceutical properties of drugs.
- Application of novel techniques and tools for drug, dosage form, or delivery system evaluation
- Strategies for improving drug bioavailability.
- Herbal drug delivery systems (e.g., for cancer, diabetes, and other chronic diseases).
- Pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Isolation, characterization, and biological activity evaluation of active compounds from herbs and medicinal plants.
- Structural modification and optimization of existing drugs and plant-derived active constituents.
We therefore invite researchers to submit original research articles, reviews, and short communications for consideration in current and forthcoming issues. As an open-access journal, DDD ensures that published articles are freely available to readers worldwide, maximizing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of your research.
